Bodypainting

with Natural Pigments

Many indigenous peoples, such as Aboriginal, Native American and African tribes, have used skin painting since time immemorial for various rituals, decorating of the body, protection against external influences, camouflage, marking etc.
Like them, we mix natural pigments ourselves and paint our own or each other's faces, hands or all over our bodies.

What is hidden in us, what wants to be visible? By empathizing with our counterpart, we paint on their body what wants to emerge in their appearance. With natural pigments we dive even deeper into the world of what is originally ours.

BODY PAINTING FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

It‘s a very special time for a woman to carry a child inside of her. The strong change of the body, the deep connection to her child that develops, various emotions such as joy, wonder, expectations, dreams ... these internal and external processes, as well as the expression of the child can be made visible with natural colors on her pregnant belly.
By carefully sensing into this, a sheltered space is created where one can get deeply involved in the painting process and let oneself be guided by intuition.

A belly painting is possible in a small group (the pregnant woman with her partner, friend or relative) as well as in a workshop with several expectant parents or pregnant women with friends (i.e.: every pregnant woman brings 1 to 2 painters with her). I accompany the painting process and support the participants in the process. The woman herself decides which body parts should be painted and which remain covered by clothing. On request, the whole body can be painted. With photos we capture this special moment of her life – for herself and for her child.
